Heather Gill-Robinson is a biological anthropologist with a PhD in Anthropology from the University
of Manitoba. She holds a several other degrees, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Archaeology. Dr. Gill-Robinson trained as a civilian Forensic Identification Officer at the Ontario Police College in 1999 and has two years of practical experience as a forensic specialist with a local police force in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Gill-Robinson has several areas of research including mummy studies, three dimensional imaging and reconstruction of human remains, public perceptions of archaeology and forensic taphonomy, the study of the processes of preservation and decay of human remains in various environments. She teaches a range of courses in biological anthropology, including human osteology, human origins, mummy studies, global health issues and forensic anthropology.ANTH 111, Introduction to Anthropology
